Itineraries
Day 1
Kathmandu to Bhulbule
After breakfast, we depart from Kathmandu Bus Park by public bus. The journey takes us through the scenic Himalayan foothills, terraced farmlands, and along rivers and streams, offering continuous views of mountains, valleys, and rural life. Arrive in Bhulbule by late afternoon and check into a local lodge/guesthouse for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Bhulbule to Ludi Village
After breakfast, begin trekking along a flat trail following the Marshyangdi River and cultivated farmlands for about 1.5 hours. Cross near the Ngadi Khola hydropower dam and gradually ascend toward Thulobesi for lunch. Continue trekking toward Ludi Village through gentle traverses and uphill sections, ascending to Tarchok before finally reaching the village. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome from the local Mothers’ Group (Ama Samuha) with flower garlands, traditional songs, and dances. Overnight stay in Ludi Village.
Day 3
Wild Honey Hunting Experience
After an early breakfast, set out with expert honey hunters, carrying traditional honey-hunting equipment. Before entering the forest, the village Jhankri (shaman) performs a ritual, offering prayers and sacrificing a chicken to ensure safety. Hike uphill through dense forest for about 1.5 hours to reach the honey-hunting cliffs. Witness the dramatic traditional process of wild honey collection as hunters descend cliffs using rope ladders. Return to Ludi Village by evening to taste freshly harvested honey and enjoy local hospitality.
Day 4
Ludi Village to Bhulbule
After breakfast, begin the return trek along the same trail through forests, villages, and river valleys, enjoying the final views of rural Lamjung. Arrive in Bhulbule by late afternoon and check into your lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 5
Bhulbule to Kathmandu or Pokhara
After an early breakfast, board a bus to Kathmandu or Pokhara. This concludes our unique cultural and adventure journey into the heart of Lamjung and the ancient tradition of wild honey hunting.
