On this day, we take an early morning flight at 6:30 a.m. from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800 meters), enjoying a breathtaking 30–35 minute scenic flight over the Himalayas. After landing at Lukla, we begin our trek and walk for about 4 hours to reach Phakding (2,600 meters). We stay overnight in Phakding.

The 14 Days Gokyo Cho La Pass Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most complete and adventurous trekking routes in the Everest region of Nepal. This spectacular circuit combines three iconic highlights: Everest Base Camp (5,364m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and the pristine Gokyo Lakes with Gokyo Ri (5,357m).

Day 1
Kathmandu to Phakding
Day 2
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After having breakfast in the morning, we begin our trek from Phakding and walk along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, passing through small forests, suspension bridges, and traditional Sherpa villages. After about 2–3 hours of walking, we reach Jorsalle, where we obtain entry permits from the Sagarmatha National Park Office and the local government office. We then have lunch at Jorsalle.
After lunch, we continue following the trail along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. From there, we start a steep uphill climb through pine forests towards Namche Bazaar. After 5–6 hours of trekking and covering approximately 10 kilometers, we reach Namche Bazaar (3,500 meters), where we stay overnight.
Day 3
Rest & Acclimatisation Day in Namche Bazaar
On this day, we hike up to 3,800 meters for acclimatization. We explore Sagarmatha National Park, enjoy views of Mount Everest, and visit the Everest View Hotel and Khumjung village. After having lunch in Khumjung, we return to Namche Bazaar for the night.
Day 4
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m)
After breakfast, we trek for about 2 hours on a relatively flat path, then descend for 1 hour to reach Phunki Thanga. After lunch or a short break, we climb for 2–3 hours to reach Tengboche (3,870 meters). We visit the oldest and largest monastery in the region and enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Numbur, and other surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in Tengboche.
Day 5
Tengboche to Dingboche
After breakfast, we trek about 1 hour through forest trails and gradually ascend to Pangboche village. Passing through small settlements and enjoying close views of Ama Dablam, we continue toward Dingboche (4,400 meters). Overnight stay in Dingboche.
Day 6
Dingboche to Lobuche
After breakfast, we walk on a gradual uphill trail for about 3 hours to reach Thukla while enjoying mountain views on both sides. After lunch at Thukla, we climb for about 1 hour to cross Thukla Pass. From there, we walk on a relatively flat trail for about 2.5 hours to reach Lobuche (4,950 meters). Overnight stay in Lobuche.
Day 7
Lobuche to Gorakshep (Everest Base Camp Visit)
After breakfast, we walk on a gentle uphill trail followed by a short steep climb and glacier walking to reach Gorakshep (5,160 meters). From here, we continue to visit Everest Base Camp and return to Gorakshep for overnight stay.
Day 8
Gorakshep to Dzongla (via Kala Patthar)
Early in the morning at around 2:30 AM, we climb Kala Patthar (5,550 meters) to enjoy sunrise views over Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. After descending to Gorakshep for breakfast, we continue trekking toward Dzongla (4,300 meters). Overnight stay in Dzongla.
Day 9
Dzongla to Thagnak (via Cho La Pass)
After breakfast, we ascend gradually for 1 hour and then climb steeply for 3–4 hours to reach Cho La Pass (5,450 meters). From the top, we descend for 2–3 hours to reach Thagnak (4,700 meters). Overnight stay in Thagnak.
Day 10
Thagnak to Gokyo
After breakfast, we walk along the glacier trail for about 3–4 hours toward Gokyo (4,790 meters). Upon arrival, we have lunch, explore the beautiful Gokyo Lakes, and stay overnight in Gokyo.
Day 11
Gokyo to Dole (via Gokyo Ri)
Early in the morning, we climb Gokyo Ri for panoramic mountain views. After descending for breakfast, we continue our trek downhill toward Dole (4,200 meters). Overnight stay in Dole.
Day 12
Dole to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, we descend for about 1.5 hours, then climb for another 1.5 hours to reach Mongjodanda. From there, we follow an easier downhill trail toward Namche Bazaar (3,450 meters). Overnight stay in Namche.
Day 13
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
After early breakfast in Namche Bazaar, we trek toward Lukla (2,800 meters). The trail descends through pine and rhododendron forests, passing villages like Jorsalle and Monjo, and crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. After lunch along the way, we continue the final gradual ascent to Lukla. Overnight stay in Lukla.
Day 14
Lukla to Kathmandu (Flight)
After early breakfast, we head to the airport for security check and wait for our scenic flight back to Kathmandu, marking the end of the trek.
